The Wedding

Details:
Inspired by movie references, place cards, poster invitations, assorted guest materials, and centerpieces were designed and created for my wedding.

To make these materials cohesive, all print work used a blue monochromatic color scheme, playful typography, and a grainy, weathered look was applied to each.

Poster Invitation The invitation was printed on 11x14 lightweight, coated poster paper by a Chicago-based printer and featured my husband and I. It was folded into quarters and served as the wedding invitation, along with additional information cards.

Wedding Materials RSVPs, song request cards, and pinback buttons worn by the Wedding Party were designed using the same visual theme as the poster invitation.

Centerpiece Artwork Each table had a coordinating movie. Centerpiece artwork was created, printed, and framed for each.

Left to Right: Ghostbusters, The Goonies, Guardians of the Galaxy

Left to Right: Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Kill Bill

Left to Right: Alien, The Dark Knight, Beetlejuice

Left to Right: True Romance, Predator, Fight Club

Left to Right: Pulp Fiction, A New Hope, The Blues Brothers

Place Cards Ticket-like place cards were designed to direct guests to their assigned tables. When designing and planning these, I made sure to take advantage of InDesign’s ability to link to Excel. All of the information shown on the place card was generated from the guest spreadsheet, including the food icon.
